XI International Competition “Best Young Metrologist of COOMET 2025”

The XI International Competition “Best Young Metrologist of COOMET 2025” was held from November 11 to 13, 2025, at the Uzbek National Institute for Metrology (UzNIM) under the Agency for Technical Regulation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent.

Fourteen young specialists from metrology institutes and other organizations of the COOMET Member Countries working in the field of metrology participated in the competition.

The COOMET President Lazizbek Saidoripov opened the competition.

 

The Scientific Committee included 11 representatives from national standardization and metrology bodies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan, namely:

  • Kamo Movsisyan, Advisor to the Director of the National Body For Standards And Metrology, Republic of Armenia;
  • Garik Martirosyan, Head of the Laboratory of Thermal and Physical-Chemical Measurements and Reference Materials of the National Body For Standards And Metrology, Republic of Armenia;
  • Azer Gurbanov, Deputy General Director of the Azerbaijan Institute of Metrology (AzMI), Republic of Azerbaijan;
  • Yuri Kozak, Deputy Director of the Belarusian State Institute of Metrology (BelGIM), Republic of Belarus;
  • Olga Shemagonova, Head of the Department of Theoretical Metrology, Scientific and Technical Programs of the Belarusian State Institute of Metrology (BelGIM), Republic of Belarus;
  • Dinara Zhumakaeva, Head of Legal Metrology Department of the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandart), Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Raushan Aimagambetova, Head of the Research and Training Department of the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandard), Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Evgeniy Lazarenko, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology, Russian Federation;
  • Anna Chunovkina, DSc, Head of the Metrology Department of the D.I. Mendeleyev Institute for Metrology, Russian Federation;
  • Gennady Klimushin, Leading Specialist Uzbek National Institute of Metrology (UzNIM), Republic of Uzbekistan;
  • Khikmat Makhmudov, DSc, Leading Specialist Uzbek National Institute of Metrology (UzNIM)), Republic of Uzbekistan;

 

Organizing Committee:

  • Tumilovich Anastasiia, Chairman of SC 4.3 «Advanced Training and work with young metrologists», Russian Federation.

 

The Scientific Committee, chaired by the COOMET President, judged the submission papers of the contenders according to five criteria: relevance and scientific novelty, practical value, implementation of results, and quality of design and presentation.

 

Based on the objective positions of the Scientific Committee, the following participants were declared the winners:
