Status of participation in the Metre Convention:
Germany is a member of the Metre Convention since 1875.

Signatory to the CIPM MRA:
Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) (14 October, 1999)
(Has the right to use the CIPM MRA logo from 28 November, 2006)

 

Designated institutes:

  • Bundesamt für Verbraucherschutz und Lebensmittelsicherheit (BVL), Berlin (Has the right to use the CIPM MRA logo from 11 November, 2016);
  • Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM), Berlin (Has the right to use the CIPM MRA logo from 17 January, 2008);
  • Umweltbundesamt (UBA), Langen (Has the right to use the CIPM MRA logo from 17 August, 2007).
