On November 1, 2023 on the basis of the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology was held a COOMET seminar on the theme "Issues of the metrological ensuring of measurements using smart meters". 

The following topics were discussed during the seminar:

1. Smart meters in legal metrology or how it works?    

Speaker: Ghennadii Berghii, National Institute of Metrology, Moldova;

2. Technologies and metrological ensuring used in electrical energy metering (using the example of Uzbekistan)    

Speaker: Ruslan Gaynulin, Ministry of energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan, Ravshan Makhmudov, Uzbek National Institute of Metrology (UzNIM), Uzbekistan;

3. Issues of metrological ensuring for smart electricity meters    

Speaker: Nadeghda Alekseeva, The D. I. Mendeleev All-Russian Research Institute for Metrology (VNIIM), Russia;

4. Experience in using smart electricity meters in the Republic of Tajikistan and their metrological ensuring    

Speaker: Ramazon Samadov, Agency of Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Trade Inspection under the Government of Republic of Tajikistan (Tajikstandard), Tajikistan.

At the same time, representatives of National Metrology Institutes of the following countries took part: Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and representatives of production organizations.

Then participants who took part in the offline seminar visited INNO - Innovation Education and Production Technopark. This visit provided an understanding that INNO - Innovation and Production Center serves to expand the innovative ideas of the younger generation and assists them in implementing their projects independently.
