WELMEC 8.0 (2016) Notified Bodies Directive 2014/31/EC and Directive 2014/32/EC Generalities on the Assessment and Operation | The guide must be considered as the general guide on the assessment and operation of notified bodies performing conformity assessment in application of Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU (MID) and Non-automatic Weighing Instruments Directive 2014/31/EU (NAWID). This guide gives guidance on the use of particular quality standards within the EN ISO/IEC 17000 series for each conformity assessment module. This guide is only intended for the evaluation of parts that can be subject to the voluntary system of modular evaluation of the measuring instrument and should not be used as a guide for modular certification of the whole measuring instrument. Although the system of modular approach for measuring instruments is voluntary, it is intended that the procedures as described in this guide shall be followed if Certificates are issued under the scope of this guide. | |
