CООМЕТ activities in the field of information and training are coordinated by TC 4 "Information and training". They are also substantially related to the implementation of the CIPM MRA (e.g. in terms of developing software for the maintenance of Database on COOMET projects, internal COOMET databases on CMCs and comparisons of measurement standards of the NMIs and DIs of COOMET Member Countries – COOMET Program of comparisons (COOMET P2/2023).

A part of COOMET projects is devoted to the issues of advanced training and knowledge transfer.

Issues of advanced training include exchange of training programs for experts in the field of metrology, development of traineeship programs for experts in COOMET countries.

Knowledge transfer is realized through training seminars within COOMET.

An important activity of TC 4 is holding (once every two years) of the International competition "The Best Young Metrologist of COOMET".
