The 32^nd extraordinary meeting of the COOMET Presidential Council was held online on 17 October 2022. Members of the Presidential Council from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, as well as representatives of national secretariats of those countries took part in the meeting.

Discussion took place at the meeting regarding further actions of COOMET owing to the receipt of notifications from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine about the suspension of participation of Ukraine in COOMET structural bodies and about the intention to acquire full membership in EURAMET and to transfer the spheres of activities related to the CIPM MRA from COOMET to EURAMET.

The Presidential Council members noted the need to clarify the format of participation of the COOMET member from Ukraine in COOMET (in view of the provisions of document COOMET D1 "Memorandum of Understanding") and requested the COOMET President to consult with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine on the format of participation of the COOMET member from Ukraine in the organization's activities (if Ukrainian representatives engage in dialogue).

It was agreed that the Presidential Council and Joint Committee for Measurement Standards would discuss the mechanisms of the CIPM MRA implementation (in terms of CMC review and activities on the comparisons that have previously involved participation of specialists from the designated institutes of Ukraine).

The Presidential Council appointed Acting Chairs of COOMET structural bodies (TC 1.2 "Acoustics, Ultrasound, Vibration", TC 1.6 "Mass and Related Quantities", TC 2 "Legal Metrology", TC 4 "Information and Training") previously headed by Ukrainian representatives.

The decisions will be submitted at the 33^rd COOMET Committee meeting (25 to 27 October 2022).
