The 23^rd meeting of TC 2 was held online using the Zoom platform on 24 November 2022. Representatives of 9 COOMET member countries took part in the meeting: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan – TC 2 members and their representatives, as well as invited specialists.

The following issues were considered during the meeting:

• appointment of field coordinators within TC 2;

• implementation of the TC 2 Work Program for 2021-2023, including projects related to the translation of OIML publications into Russian, update of COOMET recommendations on the issues of LM and other projects within TC 2;
• discussion of the results of the survey on challenges related to the regulation of smart meters in COOMET member counties;
• discussion of possible topics of training events on the issues of LM of interest to specialists of COOMET member countries etc.

Based on the discussion a decision was made to create a joint field 2.1 "Measuring devices and systems in Legal Metrology" (coordinator – Maxim Shabanov, Belarus). A new coordinator of field 2.3 "Conformity assessment of measuring instruments" was appointed: M.Yunusov, Uzbekistan.  To discuss possible subjects for cooperation in all fields, working online meetings of countries' experts will take place in the first half of 2023 in each field in a brainstorming mode. The results will be presented at the next TC 2 meeting.

Coordinators of COOMET projects presented draft translations of OIML publications (D1, D10, D30, D32, R75-3, G14) and of the UNIDO-OIML Brochure "Certification of measuring instruments". It was agreed to hold a COOMET webinar in 2023 on the OIML Certification System for the interested specialists of COOMET member countries.

Under project 844/UA/21 the prepared list of documents in the field of legal metrology of other RLMOs of interest for COOMET countries was presented (available on the COOMET portal at https://www.coomet.net/ru/publikacii/translations-into-russian-of-documents-of-regional-organizations/).

It was agreed that an updated version of a draft COOMET recommendation under project 716/BY-а/17 "Development of rules for setting up reverification and recalibration intervals for measuring instruments used in the field of legal metrology" would be presented to TC members for review in early 2023.

Approaches to the update of recommendations COOMET R/LM/25:2015 "Procedure for recognizing technical devices as measuring instruments" (project 823/BY/21) and CООМЕТ R/LM/8:2002 "Layout, Presentation, Drawing Up and Contents of Measuring Instrument Type Specifications for National Register of Measuring Instruments" (project 831/UZ/21) were discussed.

The results of the implementation of project 797/BY/19 "Review of approaches to the metrological support of medical measuring instruments" were presented, which will be used in defining the subject of cooperation within field 2.2 "Medical equipment with measuring functions".

During the meeting, proposals on holding trainings on the issues of legal metrology were discussed, including the e-learning format; the discussion will continue.

The next meeting of TC 2 will be held in October 2023 jointly with the seminar "Issues of the metrological ensuring of measurements using smart meters".
