On 8 February 2022 the COOMET President Valery Hurevich took part in the International Metrology Conference, held as part of the exhibition "EXPO-2020" in Dubai (UAE). Valery Hurevich presented a report "COOMET. Summary results of activities and prospects for cooperation".

The conference was timed to coincide with the Day of Russian science and 188 years since the birth of D.I.Mendeleev.

Deputy Head of Rosstandart, COOMET Vice-President Evgeny Lazarenko performed as the moderator of the conference and also gave the following presentations: "Contribution of D.I. Mendeleev to the national metrology and science in general" and "About metrological capabilities and capacity for providing exports of metrological solutions of Rosstandart".

The conference program also included presentations of the BIPM Director Martin Milton, Gulfmet President Amina Al Bastaki, Gulfmet Secretary Omar Kanakrieh, as well as representatives of NMIs of the Russian Federation (VNIIM, VNIIFTRI, VNIIOFI), Emirates Metrology Institute (EMI) and National Measurement and Calibration Center of Saudi Arabia (NMCC).
