The Practical Arrangement between the BIPM and COOMET on cooperation in delivering capacity building and knowledge transfer activities using the BIPM e-learning platform was signed in February 2022.

On behalf of COOMET the Arrangement was signed by the COOMET President V.Hurevich, on behalf of the BIPM – by the BIPM Director M.Milton.

The aim of the BIPM e-learning platform (https://e-learning.bipm.org/) is to facilitate online training and assistance to increase the effectiveness of the world-wide coordinated metrological system.

The following persons were appointed as COOMET coordinators to ensure the operation of the COOMET page on the BIPM training platform:

(1) Mrs. Zhanar Eleusizova (KazStandard, Kazakhstan, zh.eleusizova(at)ksm.kz);

(2) Mrs. Olga Shemagonova (COOMET Secretariat, shemagonova(at)belgim.by).

COOMET is planning to start publication of courses on its page from the 2nd quarter of 2022. For that purpose course creators (representing NMIs of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia) were also identified, who will be able to create courses in accordance with all BIPM requirements after the official training.

We highly appreciate the possibility of participation and development of this field of cooperation provided by the BIPM.
