TYPO3-Workshop for On-line Editors of the new COOMET Webportal
From 14 to 16 December 2010 a training workshop “CООМЕТ and the Internet: Towards Web-Based Information and Communication Networks” took place in PTB, Braunschweig.
Similar to a workhop in March 2010 (for on-line editors of the national Secretariats), this training was held especially for on-line editors of Joint Committee for Measurement Standards (JCMS) and Technical Committees (TCs) for acquainting the technical committees with the new webportal and finding improved methods for the work within JCMS and TCs.
More than 20 participants (mostly the secretaries of the TCs) attended the seminar to learn more about the portal structure (TYPO3) and to fill their TC pages with appropriate content.
In this process they were guided by Mr. Julien Biere (Communication Expert, who developed the new webportal) and assisted by Tobias Schäfer (PTB expert on TYPO3).
Due to these 2,5 days full of engaged and fruitful work, the already existing structure of the webportal could be improved and an important step for bringing forward the new web presence of COOMET was made.
We are convinced that continious work on the webportal and keeping the pages updated will contribute to raising COOMET's international awareness level and recognition.
