On 12 April 2023 a COOMET webinar "Training in the general principles of work with KCDB 2.0" was held, where representative of COOMET technical committees by the types of measurements, COOMET technical experts on CMC review and candidates for technical experts, as well as other interested specialists from NMIs of COOMET member countries took part.

The total number of participants was over 50 persons representing such countries as Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.

Chingis Kuanbayev, Head of Division for CBKT and CIPM MRA support of the BIPM International Liaison and Communication Department, and Nikita Zviagin, Deputy Chair of the COOMET Joint Committee for Measurement Standards, acted as speakers.

The webinar program included the following issues:

• CIPM MRA. General information and implementation mechanisms;
• KCDB 2.0. General information. Search tools and statistics;
• KCDB 2.0 as a tool of a CIPM MRA participant. Creation of accounts and roles;
• Creation of CMCs in KCDB 2.0 and review process;
• Issues and problems in using KCDB 2.0;
• The future of KCDB; KCDB API; FAIR data.

This webinar will ensure effective participation in the implementation of the CIPM Mutual Recognition Arrangements on the part of all NMIs, that signed this arrangement, and fulfillment of COOMET obligations on the organization of intra- and interregional review of CMCs, published in the KCDB (https://www.bipm.org/kcdb/).
