WELMEC 11.2 Issue 1 (2010)
Guideline on Time Depending Consumption Measurements for Billing Purposes (Interval Metering)
The guide is based on the requirements given in the Measuring Instrument Directive, 2014/32/EU (MID) Annex 1 clause 10.1 and 10.5.
The recommendations laid down in this document relate to time depending measuring functions which can be used for billing purposes but where no special provisions are available in the instrument specific annexes of MID.They are applicable in the field of utility measurements (electricity, gas, water and heat) and are applicable in addition to the recommendations described in the software guide WELMEC 7.2 for software-controlled devices.
WELMEC 11.3 (2020)
Guide for Sealing of Active Electrical Energy Meters and Gas Meters and Conversion Devices
This document describes a best practice approach to securing a measuring instrument covered under Annex IV (MI002) and Annex V (MI-003) of the Measuring Instrument Directive, 2014/32/EU (MID).This document is limited to placing on the market or putting into use of utility meters by the manufacturer or his authorized representative.
WELMEC 11.4 (2020)
Guide for Information in the Type Examination Certificate (to be borne by and to be accompanied (or provided) by the Markings on the Gas Meters)
This document describes a best practice approach relating to the information in the EU-type examination certificate, and the information which is to be borne by and to accompany the Gas Meter that is considered necessary based on an interpretation of the essential requirements.
WELMEC 11.5 (2021)
Gas Meters or Active Electrical Energy Meters Equipped with Additional Functionalities and Ancillary Devices
This document describes a best practice approach for describing the conditions under which instrument covered by annex IV (MI-002), and annex V (MI-003) of the Measuring Instrument Directive, 2014/32/EU (MID) can be equipped with additional functionality and ancillary devices in such a way that they will not have any inadmissible influence on these measuring instruments. The guidance in this guide is limited to additional functionalities and ancillary devices that are connected to gas meters and active electrical energy meters.
WELMEC 11.6 (2018)
Modular Evaluation of Gas Meters and Volume Conversion Devices
This document provides guidance to the technical implementation of the modular approach as described in WELMEC 8.8, for parts of gas meters and volume сonversion devices.
This guide covers the following:
- electronic volume conversion devices (EVCD’s) type 2, as described in definition 220.127.116.11 of the EN 12405-1/A2, with the parts pressure transducers, temperature transducers and calculators;
- calculating devices or calculators including indicating devices (see 3.1.5, 3.1.6 and 6.3 of OIML R 137-1&2) of electronic gas meters, which are intended to be connected via a physical connection to the measuring part;- measuring parts of a gas meter consisting of the measuring element/transducer, the gas containing meter body and the interface to the calculator. The measuring transducer may include electronics, which calculates a measuring signal for the interface to the calculator/ indicating device or may be purely a mechanical device.

Modular Evaluation of Active Electrical Energy Meters
|This document provides guidance on the modular evaluation of parts such as the metering/computing part, the indicating part and communication module of the active energy meter as described in definition 3.1.2 of EN 50470-1.
WELMEC 11.8 (2018)
External Auxiliary Power Supply of Electrical Energy Meters
|The purpose of this manual is to introduce the use of an auxiliary power supply in electricity meters and the relevant basic requirements of the Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU (MID). The document also contains guidance on the conformity assessment of electricity meters powered by an external power source.
